         First many people maintain personal sites because they are the most effective medium to express their opinions.

         More than that relaxed regulation allows for users to post their feelings and content without fear of being censored or shut down.

            I should add that the desire to create an online presence additionally motivates a growing number of young people to construct personal sites. That’s why    personal sites are becoming more and more popular and can actually make people money.

         But on the other hand personal sites have some disadvantages. Personal sites can be used to display any forms of content or media that was produced by the site's creator. In conclusion I want to add that to keep your personal site or not it’s your own business. As for me I would like to create and maintain my personal site because it’s necessary for my job.

So, considering that all, Internet really makes different spheres of our life easier, doesn`t it?

It does! And the same thing can be mentioned when we speak personally about our own sites. They really make the process of communication open for colleagues from one and the same sphere of work - from our sphere, the sphere of education. Personal sites help to share ideas, our own achievements or raise important questions in the attempt to find the truth. Moreover, personal sites give an excellent opportunity for education letting to use some interesting resources of information. All these are surely pros of creating personal sites, and there are quite a number of them.

We all know that everything has not only pros but also CONS. What are the cons of personal sites? First, we can`t get access to the net everywhere we want. Second, some people are not quite correct when expressing ideas. As a result, they just "litter" the information field. Third, when we spend too much time using the site, we may not appear to do our work  up to the level.

All in all, creating a personal site is surely an interesting and useful experience for every teacher!

Nowadays Russian teachers have to be familiar with modern computer technologies.  This necessity causes lots of misunderstanding. Finally, personal sites are used for communicating and making friends. It is very important in our life to have somebody to share your ideas and thoughts with.

However, there are certain number of teachers who do not support the idea of personal sites. As a rule, these are people of elderly ages, who are not familiar with computers. They are able to teach without modern technologies and consider personal sites as something unimportant and time-consuming. What is more, building pesonal sites needs special equipment, for examle, a computer with the access to the Internet. Certain number of teachers can not afford it at all. At the same time, they understand that young generation can not imagine their life without computer technoloigies. Thus, using personal sites could motivate students for studying.

To sum up, I think that personal sites are characteristic feature of modern life and it doesn not matter if a person is for or agaings them. It must be taken for granted.

Modern people and teachers, too should use IT   in their everyday life as it helps to communicate,  to educate, to find and represent all kind of information. Teachers can have the opportunity to publish various materials and get public evaluation on-line , inform parents and their children about changes in educational process. On the other hand, we have too much obligations and duties nowadays. It takes too much time to do everything well if you used to perfom everything well. Nobody asks you if you have opportunities or not.

Science and technology is improving every day. New computer programs, software is constantly appearing. And we, teachers, have a great opportunity to have an access to huge information. Ten - fifteen years ago it was hard to imagine that we could communicate with colleagues not only from neighbors’ school but with the teachers from all other the world.  Now we have a great opportunity to see how other people work. We can share our class materials, methods of teaching, participate in different discussions. I think that to have your own site will be very useful for the teacher in his or her work.

But making a personal site have some pros and cons.  Of course pros are more than cons.

Firstly, having a personal site is very convenient for collecting the information in one place. There we can make different rubrics, show our achievements and work.

Secondly, the teacher can communicate with his students through this site.  She or he can give tasks for the students when, for example, there are severe frosts or when the students are ill.

But there is also some cons. A teacher has a lot of work to do and making a personal site is great and hard work. So we need extra time for this.  But all in all, it is worth doing.

That is the first “for” to have personal site: where the site can perform as the area for information and presentation. Today Web-site appears as the best variant for reporting of the information. Also with the help of the personal site we can have an experience communication; change with our thoughts and ideas not only with teachers of our region, but also with foreign teachers; to investigate new technologies, forms and methods of teaching; to use personal site as portfolio.

The other side of the Web-site that we seldom use the literature for reading but this is one the important ways of developing speech and minds. We stop to think that any information we can find in the sites…

Writing this mini-essay I can find many reasons to have the site but a little not to have… Besides it will be decision of everyone “to have or not to have…”

Is it good or bad to have your own personal site? Is it a waste of time or a necessity? Opinions differ.

Some people think that it’s quite fashionable and up-to-date. It shows how advanced and progressive you are. It is the answer to the modern tendency to globalization. You can share your ideas and experience with people from faraway places and countries.

But it’s not that easy. First you should possess certain knowledge of computer technologies and be able to deal with all this “iron stuff”. Then you should have some content and information to publish. It’s good when your site is full of your own ideas thoughts and your personal experience. But if you have none, what’s the use of reprinting and reproducing other people’s ideas?  Besides, a site should be aimed at some audience and if nobody uses your site, what’s the use having it?

The negative thing is that it takes much time to maintain your site.  You could use it for real communication with your family and friends, doing sports and walking in the fresh air. Computer hurts your eyes, your back aces after long sitting.

To sum it up I think that a personal site is rather a necessity then amusement for a teacher if you have what to systematize and what to share. You can communicate any time you want with you colleagues and students on the advanced and very convenient level.  Of course you have to sacrifice your eyesight and somehow neglect your own children. But this is the job of a teacher!

Today, the  Internet has brought the whole world in every house and we use a great collection of various services and resources. Thanks  the Internet there is a great way to communicate having a personal site. I'm certain that the website has a lot of advantages. I'm a teacher and my personal site gives an opportunity to practice with colleagues , to get experience or teaching at any time. So my pedagogical activity is more effective. Another advantage of personal sites is the ability to vent feelings typing in texts and letting the whole world thoughts.  Nowadays it is easy to keep useful information  or documents having the site. I post new information very quickly and keep everyone informed of news without having to send out massive emails. I'm able to establish a kind of global friendship using my site .

However, I think the website has disadvantages too. I may risk  a theft to my personal information such as name, address etc. Some people can use personal details for their benefit, and this may land me in serious trouble. Besides that,  my personal site can become only a collection of information or I  can forget about my family o and communicate only on social networks.

Thus, the personal site has the potential to make life convenient and pleasant.With clever use , you can manage to harness its unlimited potential.
