The 9th of May – it’s Victory Day,
It’s our Day of Memory.
My heart on this day is always full
Of tears, of pride  and gallantry.  
My grandfather told me about that war.
It was unforgettable feeling.
When he, sixteen year old boy,
Took part in that horrible streaming.
They won in that terrible bloody war.
They saved our world from crash.
And only those soldiers knew how it was
To stand face to face with death.
We’ll always remember all of those,
Who fought against fascist enemies,
And gave their lives for Motherland,
For our freedom and happiness.

Today, on that wonderful sunny day
I see a bird in the sky!
A bird so white, a bird so bright,
A bird that we love – the White   Dove.  

It sings a song of peace, my Dove.
A song so sweet and free.
A song of glory, a song of love,
A song for you and me.
Today we all say « Farewell to arms»!
We don’t want war and death!
We want to live on peaceful Earth   
And try to do our best!
Thank you for the sun!  Thank you for Peace! Thank you for Life!
