My mother
When I was a little girl
I know my mother very well
She was so strict, exacting
But most of all kind and caring.
As far as I remember
My childhood was very happy
It’s owing to my mother
We all were very friendly!
My mother is industrious,
She works with clear conscience
She is nice and sociable
Of course she is responsible!
Those children whose parents
Take proper care of them
Are very grateful Oh! to them
Either now or afterwards
When they become grown-ups.
So I am a mother now
I understand her very well
In all my life I want
To be all like my mum!
