My Mamma
My Mamma often tells me that
I’m youthful and naive.
She thinks that I embellish all
Of what I do believe.
I’ll try to be objective now,
To tell all like it is.
I’ll prove that my Mom is the best,
And my love won’t decrease.
My Mama used to teach me that
The neatness always joys,
And every thing has its own place,
Both pencils and the toys.
That’s why I tell with confidence:
“My Mom is very neat.”
Resemble her, to be like her –
Are all the things I need.
My Mum prepares perfectly;
And If we lived in France,
She would have been the greatest chef,
She would have been advanced.
If only Mama was a judge,
It seems to me sometimes,
She would be able anytime
To find a compromise.
That’s why I tell with confidence:
“My Mom is very fair.”
Resemble her, to be like her –
Is all of what I care.
Some day a big thick heavy book
Of Mamma’s jokes and stories
Will be bestseller in the shops
And she will take the glory.
The relatives and friends are glad
To get my Mum’s advice.
It’s true, I swear, because my Mum
Is very-very wise.
They always like to be our guests,
To sit in cozy warmth,
To laugh together and to talk
About what they want.
This pleasant friendly atmosphere’s
Created by my Mom,
Because she’s very sociable,
And waits for guests to come.
My Mamma says I stretch the truth,
I just exaggerate.
But I think she’s the modest one,
Which I can only state.
