You fought, you fell, you didn’t have your dinner.

You saw your friends who fought with you.

Some are alive, the others are in ground…

You are a hero from all the men I knew –

You gifted me the Sun, the Sky, the Peace around!

I’ve never seen a tear in your eyes

You are so strong and willed, and brave - but tender.

And on the 9th of May you cries…

«I love you, my dearest defender!»

Oh, people, sometimes you are so cruel

To those, who let you live in peace.

I ask you: «Don’t be unthankful!»

Remember former soldiers, please!
