World War II began in 1941,
Many people came to the defense of Motherland,
It was such a heartbreak for everyone –
They knew it was necessary to protect the Homeland.

Everyone fought for life,
It was a terrible time,
Needed to survive,
It was a difficult time.

For the Victory was all –
Grandmothers and grandfathers went to the war,
Great-grandmothers and great-grandfathers went to the war,
Everyone went to the war…

Many died in this spell,
Many lost their family,
Many lost their domicile –
They lived hard and unhappily.

We remember them all!
We thank them for all!
We will always remember them,
We will always thank them!
