The war began in 1941,
On the 22nd of June,
Under the threat to their life
All hoped for fortune.


All went to the war,
All fought for their country,
Women and men went to the war,
All fought for their country.

Our great-grandfathers fought,
Standing up to defend our Homeland,
Our great-grandmothers fought,
Standing up to defend our Motherland.

Many people died,
They protected our Motherland,
Many did not return from the fight,
Remaining free our Homeland.

We remember them nowadays –
They presented us freedom and life,
We will remember their deeds always –
They presented us a happy life.
