They fought for the Victory
They fought for the Victory
Not to become history.
They fought up to the end
And bitterly lost the best friend.
Enormous guns, smoke, and whistle,
And he was wounded and the wound hurt a little,
But he could withstand all, and he continued to fight.
Also he fought by day and night.
And so year by year,
And, even if it was impossible shots to hear,
They won worthy and proudly.
And now on the breast medals sparkle.
And to us remind those events
Only towering monuments,
And orange-black cloth -
St. George Ribbon.
They fought for the Victory
Not to become history.
They remained in our hearts,
And we must know and remember it.
