My Motherland.
My motherland is not a mere world for me.
It is my home, parents and friends,
My classmates that are kind and friendly,
My dog and cat that live with us as pets.
My lovely nature, beautiful and splendid,
That I admire every day.
The trees in bloom and meadows with flowers,
And birch-trees, so green and gay.
It is my past, my dear great-grandfather,
Who fought against the fascists in 1941.
And thanks to him and thousands of others.
We live in peace, but we remember everyone.
And on the 9th of May – the greatest holiday.
The Day of Victory for many people of the world,
We bring carnations – so red and beautiful
With love to those, who saved us all.
Let’s love our dear native country,
Take care of what around you.
Love all the people and the nature,
Be ready to defend it too.
