THANK YOU, VETERANS, FOR THIS DAY!

There are photos in my album.
I look through them very often.
These photos are old.
They tell me about the times,
When fascists came to my land.
Nothing could help
To save our country and land.
The Soviet soldiers became defenders.
They took their fire-arms in hands.
I see my great-grandfather,
Who fought in the war.
And the feeling of courage,
And the feeling of proud
Evokes my heart.
The soldiers won.
Much was done.
And this is a good result!
My childhood is happy.
I learn and play.
And nothing can prevent to say:
“ THANK YOU, VETERANS, FOR THIS DAY!”
