Memorable Day!
On a bright spring holiday-Victory Day,
I hasten to congratulate my granddad.
He is a gentle soldier, he is so brave,
Defended his land & stood up to the end!
The 9th of May is also People’s Day,
When they want to thank the nation.
They’ve deserved respect –we should say!
We should bow the lowest with adoration.
This is a sunny, holy and delightful holiday!
It’s the Day of peace and memory.
Children give the flowers to the old ones,
Whom they greet on this Great Victory.
Parades of bands and banners go down the street.
We can hear the steps – thousands of feet!
For it is the greatest holy spring day,
For it is the Ninth of May – the Victory day!
