My dear, dear mummy
I love you very much!
Sometimes you are sweet like honey
Sometimes you are bright and shiny.

"Mother" is a special word
It is known by all people of the world.
I know your face, your lovely face
Is full of beauty and miraculous grace.

My father said that you are the best wife
Because you give him new and splendid life.
You are really the best wife
But sometimes you can be as keen as a knife.

My mother is as slow as a snail
When she begins to color her nails.
My mummy is as gentle as a lamb
Because she likes to eat jam.

You see, how I love my mother -
I love her very much.
But we should love our mothers,
Not only in March.
