Hi everyone!
I recently wrote an article about English words entering the Russian language, which you can read here: Anglicisms in Modern Russian.
As native speakers of Russian, how do you view these changes in your lexicon? When are borrowings justified and when do you consider them unnecessary?
Do you believe the media and younger "western looking" generation are letting standards slip? Is the Russian language in a process of degradation or evolution?
I would appreciate more examples of anglicisms you find strange or out of place in modern Russian.
As an old professor from my university said: "тинейджер - это не просто подросток, а КРУТОЙ подросток!")) I'm interested in your associations with these borrowed words.
