LET’S REMEMBER

The day of Victory is special –

Not only Russian but International.

And the people of different races and age

Are to remember this history page.

 

You, as an intelligent World’s member,

Cannot but those days for sure remember –

Millions of people in that war had to die

For you now to be happy and alive.

 

Remember men and women in the battlefields,

All their courage and most heroic deeds.

Remember the number of people who died

In the places which were so long occupied.

 

Remember those who fought, worked in the rear

Making their best the Victory to near.

Remember the children, who were though small,

But fought and worked like the adults in all.

 

Remember the “ great” racial Holocaust

To avoid which is our common utmost.

Remember the awful concentration camps,

People’s ashes, and made of skin gloves and lamps.

 

Remember all those who couldn’t survive –

They all were eager to live, not to die.

Remember those who wounds couldn’t overcome

And those who little orphans had to become.

 

Cruelly towns were ruined, villages burnt…

Yet, not everybody that lesson has learnt,

And we often hear about some people’s desire

To set up a new terrible World war fire.

 

Let’s remember that such a bloody time

When so many people did suffer and die.

Let’s never allow such a terrible war

To start in our common World anymore.

 

Let’s think and decide once and forever –

This evil must not repeat! Never! Never!

Let’s join our peaceful hands in a close touch

To do for PEACE our common possible much.

 

Let’s strongly join and say, “ FAREWELL TO ARMS”

For the sake of the World’s daughters and sons,

For the future sake of our planet Earth,

And for the whole boundless great Universe!
