Great Victory Day


Many years in our country
We celebrate Great Victory Day
With tears and smiles are thankful
To soldiers again and again

They fought and were killed in the battles
For our careless life
For peace  in the world and for babies
Who hadn’t been born at that time

And hero women we know
Who helped our soldiers to fight
Who helped them to go and go
Forward all days and all nights

They worked,  didn’t   sleep  in the rear
They suffered from cold and pain
And dreamed to make real and happy
Such a wonderful Victory Day!

And children were ready to  approach
The end of that terrible war
They helped their mothers and fathers
To rout all fascists, and more

Their feats are alive and immortal
We are thankful to dead and  alive
Our memory’s strong. Russian people!
Never die! Never die! Never die!
