You were a soldier, my father.

The Day of Victory will gather

All you, who fought for peaceful skies,

For bread, for me, for happy lives.

In May a holiday salute is there

And silence minute. You must care

War veterans. They haven’t seen

May Victory in gold and green.

My dad, I promise, I remember

To be Slavonic land’s defender.

My duty is and hard and long

To be one honest, brave and strong.

My heart is crying, soul’s sad,

I wish you live. But I am glad

To see my country not in war,

The sun is shining.  What is more?
