Никитина Алина Андреевна http://alinanikitina.edu.glogster.com/edit/balalaika/ Balalaika In this glogster I've tried to reveal the beauty of the balalayka performance. It's purely Russian-Slavic instrument, the forerunner of our modern guitar. As a musical instrument the guitar is now more popular, yet Balalaika never goes out of fashion and will sound in every Russian heart. In my glogster you can get antiquated with the balalaika player, Alexei Arhipovsky. He is one of the few musicians who combine a traditional "folk" line with its own way (often much more bright and original). The brilliant success of it outside the traditional folklore is not a reason for a rejection of tradition. Alex, who can rightly be called the best balalaika player in the country, if not the planet.

Indeed, songs accompanied all activities of the Russian people and were a counterpart of the mental and emotional spheres of their life. “Already in their cradle,” wrote the literary critic, Nikolai Dobrolyubov (1836-1861), children were lulled by songs; growing, they learned to sing themselves...A song attended the villagers not only in all their work and social activities but followed them in their family life too.” The Russian people were born, married and buried with songs. They sang their songs in all situations and at all times. Now our group is glad to present you a series of glogsters to share with a deeper search of the discussed problem.
