Many teachers ask themselves a question: whether or not to make a site?
As however at the decision of any question it's correctly to name all the arguments.
First, your personal site is a positive example for your students.
The site helps you to achieve public recognition.
The quality of the materials presented on the website, shows your (teacher's) competence and professionalism.
It's the possibility to create a Wikipedia in your subject.
The site allows you to show examples of individual achievements of pupils in the educational process, your own teaching finds and discoveries.
It's easier to exchange youe resources with colleagues if you've got sites.
But on the other hand,
it takes a lot of time to moderate your site.
And...
The only minus - all the rest is only plus.
To sum up the positive effect can be very significant. All depends on us! I have not got a question: whether or not to make my site...
