По теме "Город" - возможности Smart Board очень велики. Перед уроком на доске можно сохранить несколько карт городов различной величины. Мегаполисы и маленькие города:  Москва, Нью-Йорк, Токио, Якутск, Братск и т.д. (можно скачать из Google Earth). А также сохраняем предлоги пространства отдельным файлом.

Например: behind, between, in, in front of, near, next to, on the left, on the right, opposite, under и т.д.

Look at the map! Complete the sentences with the correct prepositions of place.

1. The main post office is.....Christ Church college.

2. Corpus Christi college is........Merton college.

3. If you walk down Cornmarket Street, Carfax Tower is ......

4. The cinema on George Street is.......the Playhouse Theatre       и т.д.

             Затем играем в ролевую игру. Someone is asking for directions at the Tourist Information Office. First of all, will you complete the dialogue with the correct expressions then act it, please. Use any maps of cities or towns to help you.

            Go straight across; Thank you very much; Can you tell me; Keep on the right hand side; Turn left into; Walk straight down; You can miss it; Is it far from here; Go past....

            Тут можно дать несколько вариантов диалогов на разные ситуации в городе                     (заранее сохраняем на Smart Board).

          For example:

Tourist: Excuse me.  (1) Can you tell me where the nearest post office is?

Local: Yes, of course.

Tourist: (2) .........?

Local: Well, not too far. You can walk there in about five minutes. We're in Broad Street just now. You need to walk to the crossroads with George Street and (3) .......Cornmarket Street. (4) .....Cornmarket Street, (5) ......all the shops until you come to the traffic lights at the bottom. (6) ........the traffic lights onto Saint Aldate's. (7).......and after a short distance, about 50 metres down Saint Aldate's. You'll see the main post office. (8) .......

Tourist: (9)........

Local: Good luck!

Потом уже можно дать задания на моделирование ситуаций. Каждому дается карточка с конкретной задачкой. Например: "Вы находитесь в таком-то городе. Ваша задача найти....пункт Х. Вы можете прибегнуть к помощи полицейского. А если вы находитесь в Токио, можете попросить помощи у робота Вакамура."  В роли полицейского и робота Вакамура выступают сами дети. Это прекрасная возможность подготовить старшеклассников по говорению. Особенно, когда они готовятся к сдаче международных экзаменов, как IELTS и т.д.                                                                

По теме "Подростки и музыка" можно использовать "кроки" на Smart Board. Заранее на нем можно нарисовать и сохранить движения Рэп и Хип-Хоп (скачиваем из Интернета) и написать "Rap and Hip-Hop terms".  

            For example:

1. Breaking/breakdancing: dancing to hip-hop music, often close to the ground, or even on

    your hands or your head;

2. B-boy/b-girl: breakdancer;

3. Crew:breakdance team;

4. Battle: breakdance competition;

5. MC: a rapper, someone who speaks rythmically over a beat;

6. DJ: someone who plays records for people to rap or dance to;

7. Scratching: when a DJ moves a record with his hand to interrupt or repeat the music.

             После того, как учащиеся ознакомились с новыми терминами, можно открыть на Smart Board заранее сохраненные на нём новые ЛЕ:

1. Donkey: jumping onto your hands from a standing position, and then flipping back onto your feet again;

2.  Flares: supporting yourself on your hands and swinging your leg round;

3. Handglide: spinning on one hand;

4. Headspin: spinning on your head;  

 5. Popping: making sliding movements, like a robot;  

 6. Windmill: spinning on your back, without using your hands.

           Затем на Smart Board открываем заранее сохраненные "кроки" с движениями и находим   соответствия новых ЛЕ с каждым из них  (по желанию дети сами могут добавить "кроки" на Smart Board, что они с удовольствием и делают).

                 Детям очень нравится работать с мобильными телефонами на уроке, когда проходим тему "Компьютеры". Тут можно ознакомить их с международными сокращениями при отправке SMS- сообщений.
