Creating a Website. Pros and Cons. I could hardly ever imagine that someday I'll be creating my own website and that I'll have an opportunity to get in touch with people all around the world. But everything is changing, you know... I strongly believe that there are a lot of people who see great perspectives in having a personal website. I am one of them. Firstly, it seems to me that your website is a good chance to share your ideas, experience and teaching practice with your colleagues, students and people who are interested in it. Secondly, the process of site making is rather challenging and exciting like any other thing that is still unknown. On the other hand, to run a site properly you are to have necessary IT competencies and be computer-friendly. Moreover, you should always think over its contents to make it informative, interesting and attractive to meet different tastes and demands. You must be aware of what is going on and it's not easy, I suppose. Nevertheless, if you are not going to lag behind your students who are, in fact, more computer literate and to broaden your horizons the only way out is to create your personal website.
