"Personal site: for and against"
The Internet has become an everyday part of our lives. It’s omnipresent. It has both good and bad points but one fact is obvious – it is necessary for pupils, parents, students and especially for teachers.
The Internet helps teachers to communicate a lot of people – colleagues, parents and students. Teacher’s personal site can solve many problems. It is very useful in expressing personal opinion, ideas and sharing them with other teachers. A personal site is a way to teach and cooperate with pupils. Our children are competent users and the Net lessons motivate their studies. Nowadays we have a great deal of interesting lessons with the Net resources but sometimes we lack of time at school. Why shouldn’t use unusual home tasks? What is more – it is a good opportunity to teach students to find, analyze and use authentic information, to prove that the computer at home is interesting for studying and not only for playing in the Net. A personal site helps a teacher to guide and control their activity. A personal site allows a teacher to organize distant lessons for students who learn at home.
But it is my time and energy to make a personal site interesting and useful. Still I think it is worth doing and I am for my personal site!
